HELP! Dad, James, and Paul Save the Day (or the Mom)!

You may be wondering why Mom/Grandma would be up on top of her roof on a blistering hot 100 degree day in July. A better question is: how did she get down? She went up, of course, to see if there was, in fact, a great view from the newly proposed second story bathtub.

So up she ventured with her camera, with Paul closely guiding her from behind. When it came to coming down, however, there was a slight glitch--SHE FROZE!

It took a team of three brave men (not firemen with a real firetruck, although that was mom's request). Dad took the roof, with mom clinging to him for dear life. He directed her (with her eyes closed, of course), to step backwards onto the ladder, as she held him in a death grip, seldom seen even among boa constrictors. (Dad was sure that they were both going over the edge to meet their maker.) Paul took ladder patrol, guiding mom's feet onto each ladder step, and James took ground patrol, to insure ladder stability, hoping to not be squished. Phew! What an adventure! No more roof walking for Lonnie!

The View From the Roof (just in case there are other acrophobics in the family, who don't care to check it out first hand)

Yikes, I don't think I would have handled the roof too well either. Plus I never feel secure on a ladder. I'm glad you got back down in one piece. Way to go, Bradley men!

That is so scary! I'm glad you all got down okay, I would have hated to get a phone call saying otherwise. I think it best to stay on or below ground level until there IS an actual bathroom window view.
